From what I understand
Willbertson is a Sea King pilot and his job has the same demands as any other Search and rescue pilot. He even married a plebonian.
And yeah, it is pretty much just PR. But I am quite impressed one of them got let loose on a helicopter.
I am pretty sure if you were exposed to the spoilt-shit-scene it would make you vomit how little some people do and think. It really isn't just the royal family. They are just sufficiently old-money that they get their faces on our coins.
I think they have been pretty much a waste of space since 1066 or some time before. At least these days they are not entirely publicly funded.
