Always wonderd though how R&M get away with doing foreign accents without being labelled racist. I mean I don't personally think it's racist at all but some people get all upset about Matt Lucas's Ting-Tong etc but I've never heard complaints about Reeves and Mortimer.

LB just play to the stereotype - Vicky Pollard dresses like a chav, talks like a chav, behaves like a chav. That's the joke.
Vic and Bob use odd characters in odd situations, their specific ethnicity is not the joke and they aren't commenting on a specific people's background, Tony would have worked if he had been African or Russian.
