I was in Ulan Bataar on the date of the last end of the world, which is 5 or 6 hours ahead of GMT. It was nice for me to be able to re-assure people in the UK that I had suvived past 1800 hours and that there hadn't been a giant earthquake in Mongolia.
There were- genuinely- people on the streets who beleived in this nutter trying to hand out flyers about the end of the world to the Buddhist monks. The monks were very politely uninterested.
