Who reckon that this might actually become an issue in a few several years. The 3D printing technology is certainly advancing faster than the flying car anyway.

This is a normal post Electrical components and Microchips are the biggest sticking point in that scenario.
Basic objects and jewellery though I can see happening.

Electronic components are made in machines anyway, controlled by software. It's all about price at the end of the day.
Having said that, I expect it will start with crappy Disney film plastic merchandise.
