I loved the book as a child, but it's just that, a (short) kids book.
sadly the Lord of the Rings films give me an idea of how overblown, badly rearranged and monotonous Jackson will make this

I liked the films. He did what could be expected with those tomes.
Add to that John Williams' music, great lighting, color and camera, and it is a win. I'm with you Johnny, m'boy!
