That's aces. I'd say that it only references Steadman's work with the ink blots, bats and the costume of Thompson.
There's lots in there which moves away towards other styles.
The Thompson impersonator does a spot on job, I'd love to see Bill Murray take that role again.
On the subject of Steadman though, I never realised until recently that he illustrated Will Self's column Psychogeometry. Happily, they have been brought together in a book a few years ago and worth checking out.
