This is a normal post FYI on this subject I got the 2011 version of The Thing as it was cheap and I was curious
It really isn't as bad as everyone told me it was, it's exactly the opposite of what everyone hates about Prometheus, instead of being not at all what you'd expect, it's in every way exactly what a prequel would be if an online fan had written it.

Very odd that it failed really, although I have to comment even tho they keep saying in every interview and review I can find that the effects were all prosthetics and animatronics, they so aren't!

Oh, and the endings a bit odd.

7/10 would watch again,

This is a normal post I think I might give the thing a watch. Appreciate you critique. Still going to leave prometheus until the inevitable network premiere on film four.

This is a normal post The new Thing movie isn't as scary as the original.
But hats off to them for using anima-tronics and real effects instead of just doing it all with CGI. It does look really effective at times.
