I went from a zx128k to a megadrive.
"Arcade style graphics" was the major tag line.
Only game that sticks in my mind is Sonic 1.
Got a Snes a few years later for mario and Ghouls and Ghosts.
And just plain lusted after a Neo-Geo with Metal slug.

Weren't the games for that really expensive.
I remember before I bought my megadrive, I saw screenshots of PC Engine games (BC Kid I think?) and drooled like a bastard.

The games were hard to find since it wasn't released in the uk
some of them became rarities, I think I have a boxed splatterhouse somewhere which was quite sought after.
The real pricey ones were neo geo games at over a hundred quid each.

Neo Geo carts are still fricking expensive.
A while back I looked into buying one.
A used console will set you back a couple of hundred.
The metal slug series will cost you between 500 and a grand each and good luck getting the first one.

I had a PC Engine!
I only remember the games being on cards, and a good F1 game and some Gundam transformer robot R-Type game, which was excellent
