Yeah it's weird init. Seeing as Jurassic Park practically invented CGI
and it still looks better than most stuff around today

Because the people who made jurassic park...
...had a very long time and a huge amount of money to do a very limited number of shots.
(plus they were all extremely talented, obviously).

True enough.
But plenty of other people/companies had lots of money and few shots and couldn't seem to do it. I guess there is a real art to making these things believable.
