Whatever your moral stance is on a person's lifestyle or area of employment, and regardless of whether you think she might have been acting up for sympathy, no one should speak to another person like that.

but in the real world, people do. If you can't handle it, then you picked the wrong job. I have had terrible insults levelled at me for daring to go on stage and trying to entertain people; but I needed the money and usually enjoyed myself. I could have got a job in a shop instead.

and a minority of passengers can be real pricks at times, but screaming and shouting at them is just not done, even though I've often felt like pulling the bus over and saying "You know what you bunch of ungrateful wankers, you fucking drive the bus!"
