The worst possible thing we could do is invoke that pathetic law and remove diplomatic privilege from that Ecuadorean territory. 'Cos, if we do, then we're establishing a precedent that embassies, consulates and any diplomatic privileges are no longer scarosanct - and that's a raod we really shouldn't travel down.
Fuck him. Grab him if he tries to leave but, for all that's fucking holy, don't fuck about with the Vienna Convention Treaty.

The sanctity of embassies is more important than any individual.
And everyone involved in this stupid pantomime seems to be some kind of scumbag.

i agree completely with this comment about the embassy
but I think your personal feelings about Assange completely misses the point. This ISN'T about him.
Its not about his personality, popularity or celebrity, just as politics shouldn't be about personality, popularity or celebrity- which it's unfortunately become. who really gives a fuck if he's floppy haired, self-publicising twat.
Its about a cause that is a lot larger than these things, and peoples obsession with his personality really sums up everything that's wrong with our whole fucking understanding of world affairs.
