It's about leaving a space all around the vehicle that a wheel chair or some other means of mobility aid can access.
Therefore giving them the same amount of access that everyone else has when all their limbs work.
To park in these bays you need a blue badge and they're not given out lightly.
If you can get one then you really don't need some selfish cunt making your day any worse.
Somebody really needs to create a website that collects images of people parking like a cunt.

Parking bays are for people with restricted mobility, not just wheelchairs.
With elderly couples it's not unusual for both parties to have restricted mobility and then reversing in wouldn't help would it?
The lines are there for a very good reason and the designers of the spaces didn't just specify having a 1.2m space on each side of a car for no good reason.
