Some people just won't accept that they're in the wrong.
Sorry for being a bit of a one-trick pony on this issue, but fuck it.

I dint read the words, but from the picture I would say it doesn't warrant a ticket. For all you know someone could have been encroaching on the parking space he occupies, and subsequently moved.

If he wants to take it up with anyone it should be them, the photo on the article is obviously one he has taken himself (and left his reg showing, idiot), also, from what he's saying it sounds like he knows he was in the wrong and just won't admit it.
Done deal, he should just pay the fine, i have no respect for people who impede on disabled parking spaces.

And when I say "bit", I mean "very".
Christ, his full address his easily available online, I really hope this doesn't go viral & 4chan start posting dogshit to him.

If someone can't park in the spot he's supposedly blocking they must be fucking disabled.

Unless you expect paraplegics to drag themselves out the car boot.

Having read his words the guy doe come across as a self.righteous cunt. But I still think being fined £60 or whatever it is nowadays for that seems harsh.
Disabled doesn't mean stupid, or necessarily unable to deal with mild inconvenience. I'm betting no one was inconvenienced.

The guy is a selfish cunt. He got caught being a selfish cunt. He got fined for being a selfish cunt. He complained. Everyone called him a selfish cunt. Whether anyone was inconvenienced or not is utterly irrelevant, he should just shut up, pay the fine, and not be such a selfish cunt in the future.

I don't think it's that bad. I think people think it's bad 'cos he comes across like a cunt, not 'cos it's actually bad.
I don't argue for the sake of it. I'm arguing because this is my point of view and no one has said anything of any significance to change my mind.
I can see the situation and it doesn't look that bad. I think a disabled person would be able to manage.
I said he did sound like a cunt, but it's harsh getting charged pounds for that.

Unfortunately, when it comes to lines drawn on roads, either you cross them or you don't. After all, you've got to draw the line somewhere (ba dum tish).

They are all exclusively driven by pricks who are never in the wrong. I am yet to see an exception.
Edit: Here is John Terry's bentley actually parked in a disabled spot

When I get cut up cycling I make a bet to myself as to whether it's a BMW or an audi....
...with an occasional HUGE 4x4 driven by a woman, as an outside bet.
( , Fri 31 Aug 2012, 12:57, Reply)

all the BMW driving reps went and got themselves Audi A4's so people wouldn't think they were BMW pricks. trouble is, they still drive like pricks so they give themselves away. Sad really.

Encroach on them even a little and you're messing up the space.
( , Fri 31 Aug 2012, 13:05, Reply)

Depends whether they reverse in or not. I reckon anyone with half a brain could manage.
( , Fri 31 Aug 2012, 15:25, Reply)

It's about leaving a space all around the vehicle that a wheel chair or some other means of mobility aid can access.
Therefore giving them the same amount of access that everyone else has when all their limbs work.
To park in these bays you need a blue badge and they're not given out lightly.
If you can get one then you really don't need some selfish cunt making your day any worse.
Somebody really needs to create a website that collects images of people parking like a cunt.
( , Fri 31 Aug 2012, 18:23, Reply)

It doesn't look that bad.
( , Fri 31 Aug 2012, 22:07, Reply)

Parking bays are for people with restricted mobility, not just wheelchairs.
With elderly couples it's not unusual for both parties to have restricted mobility and then reversing in wouldn't help would it?
The lines are there for a very good reason and the designers of the spaces didn't just specify having a 1.2m space on each side of a car for no good reason.

We'll have ten minutes of adverts (3 breaks), at least 5 minutes of "what happened before the ad breaks" after the ad breaks (catering for that mental illness Adnesia), and then fill out the rest with talking head nonsense from Stuart Maconie, Jack Whitehall that female comedian who always does them things and Jedward. We're in the money...
