When I first read Lovecraft as a teenager I tried to find the Necronomicon in bookshops.
I found out it didn't exist about 10 years later :/

My favourite story has always been The Outsider
It's existential horror with a fantastic twist at the end.

Great story, genuinely unsettling; amazingly prescient & doesn't contain any of his racist nonsense.

Necronomicon can be bought in Waterstones
the book contains all of his stories and has a creepy binding
..which gives me an idea. Using an old book to make my own Necronomicon - put family photos in it.
