Alright guys, I'm incredubiously nervous about posting this as it's really my first attempt at a website.
It is bound to be riddled with problems, and I seek my fellow b3tans for help/advice/comments on it. I've noticed quite a few rephoto websites getting onto the newsletter in recent years... historypin being the main one, and I think there was a great one last week.
Well, I've been doing a PhD for the last 3 and a half years, 2 years of which has been making this website.
Yes I know 2 years.... bear in mind I pretty much threw myself into the deep end of programming before it. Anyways, have a look, sign up or just have a gander at the explore page to get a preview of some postcards if you find it interesting.
Programmers, if your interested in helping or just giving advice, please let me know... its a phd project, i'm open to anyone helping out.
... if you don't hear from me within the next 20 minutes, its because i've put my laptop away and proceeded to get hammered at the bar I work at.

Sorry for posting on top of you.
I like how the location markers show the direction the photographer was facing.

thanks bru, when you upload an image you have the option of choosing direction (albeit very basic point and click)
I have plans to allow a more hci friendly interface for selecting the images on the explore page... that way you could use the timeline to see similar images in an area,

You should try and sell it museums and archives. The museum near where I live have a fairly substantial print and photography colletion.

Said there was additional plugins needed, which it then failed to find.
Sorry its not a very technical bug report.
(bug may in fact be me)

The site does require silverlight in order to run. I'll have to tweak some html to make sure if no one has silverlight - that it does in fact give the link to install silverlight.
Cheers for letting me know,
