Ditto.
Screaming kids will have probably had more of an effect than the robodog.
Also, perhaps it's just me, but that thing moves a lot like a porcupine would.

Haven't we all all evolved to be freaked out by unfamiliar objects from the valley of the uncanny? The cheetahs look stressed. A robot that could run away in zigzag like an antelope would have been more fun.
Spy in the Wild/Snow had many scenes of wildlife reacting to strange objects
