Ex-convict and drug addict, now school advisor Paul Hannaford
I made this!
talking to me on the radio last year.
After many years of drug abuse and being involved in crime, Paul Hannaford now goes round schools and football clubs talking frankly and openly about his past.
I interviewed him last year and he is a top bloke. His story is pretty grim and unbelievable in places but always engaging.
Do excuse my um's and ah's as I was very new to the radio game when I did this interview and all of it was off the cuff and unscripted.

My school
Had a pet ex-con who used to come to warn us against drugs. He warned that once while tripping, his gob came out rainbow-coloured. I'm sure he had horror stories too, but it was the rainbow gob that I (and doubtless every other kid), remembered. Even now, rainbow gob sounds fucking brilliant.
So the result of his talk was that I took drugs as soon as I could get my hands on them. And I've never looked back.
