This is a normal post I'm actually not that interested in whether the painting was anti-semitic in its intentions or not.
The interesting part to me is that anti-Jewish sentiment is met with such furious indignation, whilst anti-Muslim musings barely raise much of an eyebrow in comparison, and anti-Christian rhetoric is all but ignored.
It seems a little pathetic that society still feels the need to give the wider Jewish fraternity a free pass on all moral and ethical scrutiny just because of their historical persecution. Funny how we don't treat travelers, Muslims and the Polish with the same kid gloves.

Fucking obviously, not all Jews are ethically questionable, dishonest money hoarders; just like not all black American youths are involved in gang violence and not all Scots are Nationalist flag waving independence chasers. But there's more than enough evidence an all counts to see why you might find correlation between a particular ethnic group and a certain type of culturally appropriated behaviour.
Likewise, not all Jews are hook-nosed, paddle eared yarmulke twirlers. But depicting them as such seems to be a massive assault on decency, so why isn't the same criticism applied to all stereotypical ethnic imagery?

It's well documented that the more powerful of the Jewish dynasties absolutely capitalise on the Holocaust. Its just a shame that more folk aren't prepared to acknowledge that, and stick by their fucking guns when they make a statement that might come across as somewhat controversial.

If a big wig in the Oxford University Labour Party was on record calling all Muslims "Mohammedanists" (an offensive term apparently) he'd almost certainly be kicked out of the party, probably the university and get his collar felt. If he had called all Poles "Polacks" or all travellers "gippos" he'd have been in big trouble too. Go round calling all Jews "Zios"?
