Saw them live as part of a Bill Nelson project a couple of years before this.

Was actually the first band I ever saw live
Not sure of the year; around 84. In Nottingham, at "The Garage", which was a bizarre warren of rooms in the old lace-market.
They got everyone to sit down on the floor, so all got a better view. More like watching a theatre production than a band. Was great.
I remember them teaching us words to join in with, for this track; IIRC, it means, "We are ninja, you are ninja, throw the sands of time, which disappear"
