News of rail fare increases kind of hit me a bit today. I'm going to be paying an estimated 13% more next year. I commute from Poole to London, but this is pricing me out of Poole unfortunately (yes, silly of me to choose to say etc. etc.). I made a comment on an article this morning and the BBC have been phoning me all day! Anyway, probably of no interest to a lot, and a lot of people will say that it's justified anyway, but hey, we're all entitled to our opinions!
I say I made this, but I didn't, cos the BBC did, but the link up there is BBC radio 5 live - I'm on at about 00:46:40.
There's also Radio Solent. Me at 01:08:00 - www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p00jg7fs/Steve_Harris_16_08_2011/
And then there's Radio 2. Me at 00:10:10 - www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0134ymh/Jeremy_Vine_Vanessa_Feltz_Sits_In/

64% increase over the eight years I've been there. Just saying.
