actualy she did have a higher chance of succeeding then you might think
although I'm pretty sure it was guess an educated guess there is evidence that there are mass graves in alot of america. There are a couple of stories, back in segragation days, of whole (small) towns being wiped out because of the colour of their skin.

The sheriff saying they took it seriously because the bodies of children were involved. To investigate a murder based on the claims of a psychic would be madness, but the murder of children, thats different.

In a similar vain, it annoys me when reports say things like "people were killed... *including women and children*".
So if just Men were involved nobody would care?

Being a psychic should carry a prison sentence.
No-one would go to prison, because you couldn't prove they were psychic. But it might stop people claiming to be.
