This is a link post Six White-tailed Eagles have been released on the Isle of Wight
The plan being to restart a breeding population on the island.

They have all been exploring their new surroundings, but one has had wider horizons than the others, being recorded over central London on Saturday afternoon. Currently he’s somewhere near Rye Harbour, and expected to return along the coast tomorrow.

So if you’re in Sussex tomorrow and look up to see a fucking huge bird, you’re not going to be able to blame your breakfast beers.
