At my sister's school they had chickens to teach the kids about where food comes fromThey'd learn about feeding the chickens and collecting the eggs and get some to take home. She said the number of parents who came up to her worried that the eggs would hatch into chicks was astonishing, especially when they still didn't get it even after she pointed out they didn't have a rooster. You'd have thought parents out of everyone would be familiar with the processes required to make new life :/
