Parents
"They fuck you up, your mum and dad" said Philip Larkin. Did he have a point? Perhaps yours are merely horrendously embarrassing? Or are you yourself that embarrassing or terrible parent? No tedious McCannery or nonce strikethroughs please, ffs.

No way
When I was on a first aid course, the old "Mars bar up the diabetic's bum" topic came up. The instructor thought it was highly unlikely that the interior of the rectal wall would be able to absorb chocolate at any speed. So would an expert please confirm this? It's going to keep me awake at night now.

As a type 1 Diabetic myself
chocolate is absorbed a lot slower into your system than refined sugar (haribo, jelly babies e.t.c.) The best thing to do is to get some honey on your fingers and rub it on the person's gums as anything solid or even liquid can be a choking hazard. Rub lots of it in small doses.
A Marse bar would probably work if inserted early enough. If your blood glucose is not high enough to show on a testing kit he probably would have needed to insert said chocolate bar 10-15mins before hand.
