i used to
have an eccentric neighbour called Gilmour who had a elastic band addiction. Everytime you saw him he would be rubbing at one with his left hand, maniacly. He lived with his mum up until he died in his 60's. He also fell down the stairs in his house and right out of the window at the bottom.

Don't know if it was rubber band related or not.
