This is a question Amazing Projects

We here at B3ta love it when a plan comes together. Tell us about incredible projects and stuff you've built by your own hand. Go on, gloat away.

Thanks to A Vagabond for the suggestion

Back when I were a mere strip of a lad
...which was before the days of computer games and iPods, there was a playground craze for peashooters at my school. Basically pen tubes with chewed up balls of paper for ammo.

Being of a technical turn of mind, I decided that what the world needed was a repeater - a peashooter machine gun. So I built a ten-barelled shooter, with a sliding mouthpiece. You could fire, slide, fire, slide, or simply blow continuously while sliding to unleash a hail of bullets at your target.

It worked brilliantly. But it wasn't the triumph I hoped for, because a) it took ages to re-load each time, and b) I got the crap kicked out of me for being a smart-arse.

Some important life-lessons there, I feel.

That was a regualr at my school
at least once a year you'd get peashooter month, and then marble month.

We use to use the real thing though. Plastic tube with a mouthpiece on the end. A box of dried peas, and you were set to go.

Problem was, they work really very well, and those dried peas can fucking hurt. Peashooter month was always a bit shorter than marble month, as normally by a few weeks in, most of us had had our weapons confiscated.

* Reminisces*
Peas shooters, smoke bombs and those sweets that turned peoples mouths different co lours was what every child aspired to have in my day.

Now it is all ndubz and knives, you cant even bully ginger kids at school anymore.

That last sentence is the most forlorn thing I've ever read on B3ta.
