Accidental animal crueltyI once invented a brilliant game - I'd sit at the top of the stairs and throw cat biscuits to the bottom. My cat would eat them, then I'd shake the box, and he would run up the stairs for more biscuits. Then - of course - I'd throw a biscuit back down to the bottom. I kept this going for about half an hour, amused at my little game, and all was fine until the cat vomited. I felt absolutely dreadful.
Have you accidentally been cruel to an animal?

I wouldn't expect it to work;seagulls can gulp down rather big fish in one go, so they must have pretty elastic tummies.
Mythbusters managed to make a pig's stomach explode (it wasn't in a live pig at the time, don't worry) with a bi-carb and acid, but they had to totally clamp off the exits to make it work. That wouldn't happen in nature - I don't know if seagulls can burp, but the gas would still have a chance to escape down into the intestines. It would probably cause some considerable discomfort, but I wouldn't expect rupture.
