This is my mum's problem more than any girlfriends' I've ever hadso I assume it gets worse as they get older. Unfortunately for whoever I end up marrying, I have a zero-tolerance approach to requests like "Wouldn't it be nice if somebody were to do the dishwasher?" and "Do you think it would be possible for the washing to get done?", and merely answer them literally.
