I seriously considered knocking together a battery supply for the router so I could continue surfing for the remainder of my laptops battery.
Then I decided that it was a silly thing to do, stuck some batteries in the radio and read a book for a bit.

Then I realised it's attached to a cable router which may not work anyhow. Now I use Joikuspot to get my netbook online when the power is out. I am still considering a UPS though, for my phone and netbook.
