Happy 10th Birthday B3ta
Ten years ago today we launched B3ta (well the version of it you'd recognise). Happy birthday B3ta! As a special one off please add your memories of B3ta here. E.g. How you found the site, or an early thing you saw on the site, maybe the people you've met or how the community is/was part of your life.

I'd been aware of the site for a while
as Legless used to send me the odd link. Then I thought I'd sign up as a means of keeping in touch with him after he buggered off to Upside Down land, mainly because he's shit at answering his emails.
Unfortunately, the time of my joining seemed to coincide with a glut of QOTW themes that I seemed to be able to have a story for, so the next 18 months or so were spent in a frenzy of typing and recalling more anecdotes. 'Coffee Arse' remains, I think, one of my favourites, mainly for the 'bloik factor'. I've also nearly ruptured something more times than I care to remember reading other members contributions, usually in the office. Thanks guys.
I attended my first bash in London whilst on a business trip, and haven't looked back. I've met some glorious people that I'm now glad to call friends IRL, and me and the missus even coordinated our wedding so that we could spend our honeymoon weekend at the great Edinbash of 2009. I don't think I stopped grinning inanely all weekend, both at the being newly hitched, and the riotous company. It was a wrench to leave the place.
Fond memories.
