This is clearly a reference to the fragmentation of seminal folk outfit Steeleye Span following the acrimonious divorce of bassist Rick Kemp from the principal vocalist, when the latter was obliged to devote such an amount of time to childcare that she was unable to meet her strenuous touring commitments.
