On a similar note, ..... my father wanted to get a debit card about 10 years ago. He'd worked for 35 years and never owed a penny in his life, save for a mortgage which my folks had lived in poverty to pay off within 5 years, some 25 years before.
Despite being a customer with that bank for something like 50 years he was denied a debit card (not a credit card mind) for having insufficient credit rating. I ask you.
