I had the chance to purchase some rural propertyIt was beautiful, wooded areas interspersed with wildflower strewn meadows. The kids discovered a gully with a tarry substance coming from one of the banks, and came back covered in the stuff. It smelled like creosote and was impossible to clean off.
My wife insisted that I turn down the deal. I had to choose between the black seep or the family.
