Once again a link to the website of a company that is called Duck Tape.Hardly an impartial source of information, is it? I thought you lot were meant to be students, yet you seem incapable of researching something.
I just looked in the OED, and both are listed. It says duck tape may have come first, but there is no evidence for this.
So, it would seem that they are indeed synonyms, but people that say duck tape are cunty knob-fucks.
