You are rightthat studying books in school ruins most of them. My English class in year 10 was told to read Lord of the Flies over summer, so we could study it afterwards. And I, being pretty much the only literate one in the group, was the only one to do so. And I really liked it, until we went over it in mind numbing detail, and since then it has lost all of it's appeal.
