Bert couldjust be fishing in an attempt to get Bob to give a brief (but not to brief) teasing summary of the novels discussed in that wonderfully sultry voice that only Bob has.
of course that's in my imagination, I don't know what Bobs voice is like, but given that she's a singer I imagine it's pretty nice
