It wasn't until the b3ta mods read the Flashman novels that we changed from mild-mannered computer operators into heavily-whiskered copulators, poltroons and all round bastards in a well-known cavalry regiment.

That's one of those tricksyou do and expect it to utterly not work at all, so you do it as a sort of tongue-in-cheek act of silliness, knowing that the "victim" will never be fooled by it- kinda like telling people they can access your collection of mp3s by pressing Alt+F4.
So one day when a bunch of us went to lunch I did that to a co-worker and did an exaggerated sneaking-off-to-my-chair walk and sat down- only Greg genuinely fell for it, and got quite pissed off at me for it.
Somehow that made it even funnier.
