Don QuixoteIs brilliant (though I don't have sufficient mastery of Castillian to attempt it untranslated) but so very very long. I can't read more than a dozen pages at a time without my puny brain hurting. I would much rather have done that instead of effing Dickens at school.
I had the same problem with Crime and Punishment which I really enjoyed but took me forever to finish (and it isn't a long book!)
