I've read Shattered Sword. Great book. I always thought the Yorktown was fairly unlcuky. Patched up in about 48 hrs to get to the battle, takes a number of bomb hits, and torpedo hits, abandoned and on fire, but eventually recrewed. Gets underway, only to be sunk by a japanese submarine while on its way home.
