I just couldn't hack through all the extraneous crap to get to the story.I tried it once, on the very enthusiastic recommendation of a friend, and got about a hundred pages in before giving up. It doesn't even pretend to be a novel. It's so black-and-white a manifesto that the very colours of black and white themselves look a muddy grey in comparison.
