This is a question Books

We love books. Tell us about your favourite books and authors, and why they are so good. And while you're at it - having dined out for years on the time I threw Dan Brown out of a train window - tell us who to avoid.

Samsung Plasma TV instruction guide – Author unknown.
A cracking good read. Granted, it may have been a little difficult to get into initially, and it helps if you can speak several languages…but the happy ending is totally worth it because after I finished reading it I finally understood how to work my telly.

How many of your literary giants can offer that?

Derivative, poorly structured. The section on fault finding has already been done to death and far better by LG in their seminal "42" plasma tv, model ps4280".
If you must read this awful drivel, skip straight to the section on hdmi connection, which has its moments.

Ooh that's a bit harsh...
I thought that the audio configuration menu management section 4.2 was borderline groundbreaking and kept me riveted. Copied by many, bettered by none.

And don't get me started on that diagram showing connection to the VGA port. Utter filth! I nearly spluffed my pants!

However, I take your point on the HDMI chapter, but I thought it somewhat populist overall, and not my highlight. But each to their own.
