Scarpe can't read Ellroy. Scarpe used to read Ellroy.Scarpe once loved Ellroy. But Scarpe stopped reading Ellroy. Scarpe couldn't cope. Scarpe couldn't cope with the writing style. Ellroy's writing style. Since 'The Cold 6,000'.
