Try FWB.
I've tried to make a relationship work with a woman that I liked but had no "spark" with. It ended badly. But FWB can work if you're both open about what you do and don't expect out of it.

But if it starts getting awkward and weird, don't hesitate to end the sexual part of it before someone gets hurt. Better to go without than alienate a friend.
