Get rid of the \all function
The best answers should win and having this function means people can manipulate the voting and pimp for votes to ensure they win. Its only fair people don't know what's on the Best Of page until the question closes. Get shot of this function now so we can get on with the real thing for QOTW; reading the lot and voting for the ones you like. Thats about it really.

/all is brilliant
and it was even better when it sorted every single story in order of popularity. I only look at QOTW maybe once a day so it helps me see what's popular (in fact it should really be called /popular like the other boards).
Winning by pimping a story would result in a rather hollow victory, so fuck it. Let the shameless pimp away and be judged for it afterwards. I've yet to see a pimped story in the newsletter...
A better system would be a thumbs-up/thumbs-down button, like on Sickipedia. All voting systems can be manipulated though.
EDIT: also..

Aren't you a little 'fresh' to be rocking the boat?

When I see people pimiping for votes as a result of seeing where they are on
the all function it just got my heckles up. Maybe because I'm fresh I can see when something's a bit off better? Fuck knows.

Once, that's happened and it's made a difference to the final result.
The guy in question won because he was smarter than the other dude. And his post was better. I clicked both the top two, incidentally.
Do you think we should get rid of the Popular list on the Image Challenge for the same reason?
Also: I call meat puppet.

I like the /all function because I no longer have time to read through the dross to get to the good stuff on here.
I also call puppet of meat.
