I didn't think.That's what bugs me about other people's reaction. As the car stopped I opened the door and ran to do what I could. I didn't think of who was watching or whether someone else would do it, it never crossed my mind to. I didn't have time to think any of that.
I just don't get it. I've not heard of the bystander effect, but have seen it in action (on other occasions as well) and always wondered why people don't help. I don't think I'll ever understand that.
