It does indeed.It also has a matching rev counter, calibrated from 0 to 5500rpm (which is "going some" for the big heavy cast-iron 2.4 litre engine), with big red arrows at the top indicating that the red line has disappeared off to the left. At this speed in top (three-speed thirstymatic gearbox) you are approaching 130mph and consuming dead dinosaurs like an oil-well fire.
