I find it's fun......to wait until they're looking the other way (as they often do when tailgating you) then lightly rest my foot on the brake.
When they look back they have they panic and slam their brakes on, as I toddle off.
The worst thing about tailgating I find is that it's often when there's a long line of cars, so they couldn't get any further ahead if I pulled over and waved them past!
