Love it.Our old band manager used to do a similar thing. He'd go and 'test drive' brand new Mercs etc... when he knew he had a bigger meeting for bigger gigs and needed to look the part. He'd argue that he'd need it for the weekend as he couldn't possibly tell if it was what he needed in 30 mins or so with a standard test drive.
He'd get it every time.
