My only close contact with any celebritieswas getting the Battlefield band quite high in the 70's when they played at the college I was attending in the US. We also fed a really strong pot brownie to a female signer with them but it didn't produce the desired results.
When you are used to Appalachian hillbilly accents, a strong Scottish accent is really interesting when you are also really buzzed. I don’t think they liked our jokes about their accents.
