I had to spend time in a hotel room with him once. He grunts and snorts when he laughs.

I saw him in Finnegan's Wake, an Irish bar in Edinburgh in about 2003/2004He was surrounded by sycophants, and he was a loud fucker too.
It was odd though - he'd just mysteriously resigned and the charisma-free John Swinney had taken over as SNP leader. I thought Swinney must have had some photos of Alex blowing a goat or somthing... but lost them when Alec returned as leader.
